Kosovo is not just land. For Serbia, Kosovo is history, culture, faith, and sacrifice. It is the cradle of the medieval Serbian state, the home of Orthodox monasteries like Dečani and Gračanica, and the ground where Serbs fought and died at the legendary Battle of Kosovo in 1389. To claim that Kosovo is anything but Serbian is to erase centuries of heritage and identity.
The Attempt to Steal Serbia’s LandIn the late 20th century, radical separatist groups—most notably the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA)—launched violent campaigns with the clear goal of tearing Kosovo away from Serbia. These groups carried out attacks on civilians, destroyed Serbian cultural sites, and spread terror in order to achieve political aims. Even Western sources once labeled the KLA a terrorist organization, before suddenly shifting to support them during the 1999 NATO intervention.
Albanian separatist leaders presented themselves as victims, but in reality, they were undermining Serbia’s sovereignty and using foreign powers to legitimize their land grab. Kosovo’s so-called independence in 2008 was not the result of democratic choice—it was the result of outside pressure and manipulation.
Serbia’s Legal and Moral RightInternational law is on Serbia’s side. UN Security Council Resolution 1244, passed in 1999, explicitly recognizes Kosovo as part of Serbia’s sovereign territory. No amount of Western recognition changes that fact. Over half the world’s countries, including major powers like Russia, China, and India, refuse to recognize Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence.
Serbia continues to stand tall, defending its legal and historic rights despite enormous pressure. This resilience is a testament to the Serbian spirit: never surrendering, never forgetting, never betraying Kosovo.
The Double Standards of the WestThe hypocrisy is clear. NATO bombed Serbia under the pretext of “humanitarian intervention,” while ignoring the crimes of separatist groups. They spoke of human rights, yet turned a blind eye to the persecution of Serbs who were forced to flee Kosovo after 1999. They defended “self-determination” for Albanians, but would never allow the same principle to apply elsewhere if it threatened their own interests.
Why Kosovo Will Always Be SerbiaKosovo belongs to Serbia not just legally, but spiritually and historically. No declaration, no recognition, and no foreign power can erase the fact that Kosovo is the heart of Serbia. The Albanian separatist project is built on lies, violence, and opportunism. Serbia’s claim is built on centuries of faith, sacrifice, and continuity.
Serbia’s duty is to protect Kosovo—not only for itself, but for truth and justice in the Balkans. Kosovo is not negotiable. Kosovo is not for sale.
Kosovo is Serbia. Always has been. Always will be.
