Virtual real estate worth IRL money??

I came across this earlier. It's strange but kind of cool, it's a virtual world map where you can buy and sell land.

Not entirely sure why it holds any real-world value other than the company just saying "trust us it does" but its cool nonetheless.

I just saw it too. It seems that people are actual paying and holding each square of land and holding it in hopes that the value goes up for them to sell it. The locations of the land you purchase also matter as well. It is a completely new idea to me and  could be impactful later on in the future.

Are you kidding? How it is even possible to have virtual property. These are some pixels on the screen and how someone would pay money for virtual real estate. In my opinion, it is a waste of money. The only thing that will never lose its value while investing in real estate. It was, is and will be the best and stable investment that could ever exist. The most important is to be able to determine if it is worth investing in or not. If a real estate has scarcity, transferability, utility and demand this means that it has a high price.

Oh, I've heard about it, but I can tell you that it's not as popular as you may think, and I'm sure that it doesn't have a bright future. Real estate will always be in demand, and that's the reason why being a vacation rental channel manager is so profitable. And I'm glad that with tech development, it's not that hard to manage routine tasks.
