-1, I think it'll have the opposite effect and staff will receive x10 more reports to moderate. Then things that is barely on the edge of breaking a rule will be reported a lot, and it'll just make it way more time consuming for staff.

It's good that members report threads, but if they would get rewarded for it, they'd do it with the intention of getting rewarded. Now it's more out of the passion of getting rid of skids.
