Will SOCKY work on every Windows computer?
SOCKY should work on any Windows computer running Windows 7 or newer. .
What is needed to run SOCKY?
You will need at least 1 Linux Server but it is recommended to have a separate web server for the panel.
Is SOCKY undetected by AV?
No. SOCKY is not undetected by all antiviruses. This is due to certain API calls that some anti-virus programs flag.
Is my data encrypted?
Data privacy is taken very seriously. Several measures are taken to keep your account and data safe. Your password is never stored as plain text. Additionally, your License information is not stored in plain text on our servers. It’s encrypted with a key only you, the user, have. The only time your License data is sent to our server is when you build. That data is sent over SSL to the build servers and is not logged.
What is this pattern thing on the builder?
In order to maintain a high level of security and still have the data needed for the builder, you are required to draw a pattern to encrypt your data on SOCKY’s servers. This protects you in the event something happens and data is compromised. Because of this, it is 100% impossible for SOCKY to reverse your pattern or reverse your encrypted panel urls. If you lose your pattern, you will have to pay to reset your License.
How much does SOCKY cost?
SOCKY is $29.99. This includes 1 License. Each additional License is $19.99. You can reset (new IP/URL) a License for $14.99. Currently, Licenses do not expire. Anyone purchasing until (if ever) this is changed will be grandfathered in.
How many builds do I get?
Rebuilding your Client Computer file is free. There is a short time limit between builds.
How long are my files stored once built?
Built files are stored for a minimum of 3 days. It is highly recommended for you to download your files as soon as they are built. Do not rely on SOCKY to store them long term.
What is the panel?
The panel refers to your self-hosted website where your Linux Server Listener and Client Computer’s will communicate. Your panel zip will automatically have your encryption key set.
What is the Linux Server Listener?
The Linux Server Listener is the file ran on your linux server. Traffic is enabled to your Client Computer’s using this server.
What if an update is pushed to the panel?
If an update is available for panels, you will see it in your client panel. Never overwrite config.php.
Will I get banned if I use SOCKY without client permissions?
We will only revoke your License if you attempt to: disrupt the service, reverse the builder, client, or panel, or resell any builds or otherwise misuse SOCKY. Even if someone reports your file, we have no way to track it to your account.
